...learning to live the life

Learning to Live the LIFE

The LIFE vision is a strategy for moving Sunday School toward its full potential today. LIFE is an acronym that focuses on four major traits of effective Sunday School ministries.

L - Learning Together

As children, youth, and adults study the Bible in Sunday School, they learn to use biblical principles as a moral compass to guide and protect them throughout everyday life. (Learning Resources)

I - Including All Who Come

Sunday School includes people of all ages and presents the gospel at every person's level of understanding. (Including Resources)

F - Finding Others Who Need to Know

Sunday School (when done well) prepares people to find others who need to know Jesus. (Finding Resources)

E - Emerging for Ministry

Sunday School prepares people for ministry, helping them discover and develop abilities to serve others. (Emerging Resources)

How can you respond?

Today Sunday School is still the largest ministry outside of Sunday morning worship. In the Assemblies of God alone over 1 million children, youth, and adults attend Sunday School every week. Throughout the USA, about 66 million attend Sunday School in all churches. Yet, Sunday School has not grown the Assemblies of God since 1984. We believe God wants to transform people's lives through the study and application of His Word and mobilize the millions who attend Sunday School. If Sunday School is, as some have stated, like a sleeping giant, it's time to wake up!
