Teaching Methods by Age Level

Active children need active learning. The chart below lists 77 different Bible learning activities that young children can use to learn God's Word. The chart lists what activities children are likely to be able to do and enjoy and what ages. These are general guidelines. Some children will begin sooner and others later. You can use the chart as a starting point and then tailor it to the children you minister to in Sunday school.

1--Sharing is not an early childhood skill. Preschool children can begin to learn to share if teachers model it, practice it, and reward all attempts to share.
